Penelope Cromack graduated from Curtin University in 1979 and commenced work at Pinjarra Hospital. Six months later, she was invited to establish the first Speech Pathology service at Mandurah Health Centre. Soon after this, she commenced full-time employment at Princess Margaret Hospital where she worked with many complex paediatric speech and language disorders.

 

In 1988 she commenced full-time employment with Disability Services working in schools providing Consultancy services for teachers. She also worked with severely physically and intellectually disabled children and adults in residential hostels providing feeding and communication programmes. In 1993 after the birth of her second child she commenced her private practice delivering speech pathology services for children in Perth, Western Australia. She has clinics in Joondalup and Nedlands.
